Rules and Policies
At Medley Paintball Park all players will be briefed by certified referee’s regarding game rules, field operation, and emergency information. Paintball markers are not toys and can be considered dangerous and their intended use should be in conformance to all the rules governing paintball and paintball equipment.
POLICIES
1. Minimum age allowed to participate is 10 years old. Ages 10-17 can play with the expressed consent of their parent or legal guardian.
2. Always wear approved paintball GOGGLES for eye protection when using a paintball marker or when you are near an active discharging/shooting area. Not adhering to this rule is cause for immediate dismissal from the game.
3. All Markers must have a barrel sleeve. We do not accept barrel plugs. Do not exit an active area of play without the barrel sleeve in place and your barrel pointed toward the ground as you exit. As a general principle, all paintball markers should be carried with the barrel pointed toward the ground while in the staging, neutral, or parking areas of a paintball field.
4. All Markers must chronograph before entering the playing field and shoot at a velocity of 280 Feet Per Second or less.
5. Never point, cock or load the paintball marker while it’s pointed in the direction of any person or object, outside the perimeter of the active playing field. Vandalism, endangerment and mischief are crimes. Knowingly shooting towards a person you know has no safety or unsafe equipment will make you liable for injury sustained and criminal negligence. Even if there are no paintballs in you marker (which should not be assumed) there may be shell fragments, dirt, sand, or other loose materials that can cause damage. Additionally, any air blast at close range could be damaging. No dry firing.
6. Keep your finger off the trigger until you are ready to shoot. Your finger should not be on the trigger in a neutral, safe zone, no goggles required or non-playing area.
7. Never look down the barrel of a paintball marker, even with the power source (air tank) disconnected. Some paintball markers still store enough air to shoot a few paintballs after the power source is disconnected.
8. “No Overshooting” (more than three continues shot’s) Never shoot at any player showing a neutrality symbol (raising marker or hand over head). Never shoot a person in anger or with intent to cause harm.
9. “Ten Foot Rule” no player will be allowed to shoot an opposing player closer than ten feet.
10. No physical contact between players, referee’s or customers. Any violation will result in immediate dismissal from the park and notification to police.
11. No behavior that is offensive and vulgar will be tolerated.
12. No alcohol or drugs of any type are permitted on the property.
